Role Definition

Role Definition page displays a list of role definitions. You can filter the list on the basis of role, group, and status.

How to create a role definition?

1. Click + icon on the top right. Following will open.

2. Select a role. Following will open.

3. Select employee group and choose SPOC for it. Following will be displayed.

Field Level Description

Role list of roles to which the employee group has to be assigned. You can choose one.
Employee Group list of employee groups. You can choose more than one.
Primary SPOC

Primary Single Point Of Contact (person) who can perform action on the role definition. Only those users will be displayed who are associated to this role. You can choose one.

Secondary SPOC Secondary Single Point Of Contact (person) who can perform action on the role definition. Only those users will be displayed who are associated to this role. You can choose more than one.

4. Click Save button. A new role definition will be created and added to the role definitions list.

Impact in Alt Worklife

Let us take an example of an employee group, Group A with employees grouped under it from East Zone and there is another employee group, Group B with employees grouped under it from South Zone. Group A and Group B are linked to Role NDC IT (No Dues Clearance - IT) and Primary SPOC for Group A is X and Primary SPOC for Group B is Y.

Now if an employee puts his resignation, and his work site lies in East Zone then his No Dues Clearance IT for approval will go to X and if his Work Site lies in South Zone then his No Dues Clearance IT for approval will go to Y as NDC IT Role Definition is mapped to it.

Likewise, we can link different roles to different employee groups affecting different modules of the application.
